The following options are meant for embroidery patches, and many of them can be applied to other patches too. To make sure the custom patches and emblems meet requirements, here is a detailed explanation of each process involved:
The backing style for custom embroidered patches include paper backing that requires patches to be sewn on clothes, heat seal backing for patches requires direct heat to be applied to patches for permanent application on clothes, adhesive backing that work as stick on patches that can be stuck on all types of fabric easily along with velcro backing for patches that are actually removable custom embroidered patches for sticking and removing them on clothes in an instant.
For varied border types, the edges are stitched on embroidery machines with heat cut usage after the embroidery process. This process works for irregular shapes. On the other hand for merrowed borders, a special machine is used for raised stitching around the patch edges. This process is recommended for regular shaped emblems, including circles, triangles, and rectangles. With the Laser Cut Border, we cut without any stitches with a twill. This process is not recommended owing to the fact that the patches get frayed after a point of time.
The edge is stitched on embroidery machine and then use heat cut after the embroidery process. It is highly recommended for irregular shapes.
You can do this on a special machine one by one with raised stitching wrapped around the edges of the patch. We recommend this for regular shaped emblems, such as circles, triangles, rectangles, etc.
EMB coverage includes an option of 50%, 75% and 100% Embroidery thread. 50% and 75% embroidery have some parts of twill background showing while 100% embroidery patch is covered all over by threads without bare twill showing. So 100% embroidery looks beautiful and luxurious and hence is relatively more expensive.
50% or less of the patch will be covered in embroidery thread and twill background show.
75% or less of the patch will be covered in embroidery thread and twill background show.
One can pick and choose from a plethora of EMB thread colors based on one’s preferences for customized patches. There are more than 100 colors available in this segment.
